If you are familiar with my blog, you probably know that we like to hunt around for exciting playgrounds.
Changi Beach Park has two playgrounds, and we typically opt for the more challenging one near to Carpark 1. It is a short walk away from the bridge leading to the Changi Village Food Centre.
Climbing is a vital part of outdoor play for our family. These are some of the benefits of climbing,
– build physical & mental strength and confidence in the children,
– improve the little ones’ grip which is necessary for writing,
– build focus,
– develop a sense of balance,
– improve their eye-hand-leg coordination
– involve risk-taking and planning. Yes, planning. We have to plan our route when we climb, and not go blindly into some dead-end.
Changi Beach Park is perfect for us, not only because we love to climb. Located in a quiet corner of Singapore, the park is significantly less crowded than the East Coast Park. With four kids, including two active toddlers, we don’t want to lose sight of any of them.

I love how the wobbly rope structures that made climbing more challenging. Imagine a few people standing on one net and the ropes vibrate violently when everyone staggers through.
There is no need to fret over messy hands and fingers after the sand play. The public toilet is located just a minute walk away from the Changi Beach Park playground.
After a session of play, the nearby Changi Village Hawker Centre is the best place to fill our famished stomach.
