If you happen to be on a lookout for playgrounds in the eastern part of Singapore to get your kids out for a work-out, this is one of the economical choices.
Located beside the Tampines West Community Centre, there is a huge climbing net with some height element and balancing to keep the kids challenged.
My girls certainly enjoyed themselves very much. One session before their MacDonald tea break at the CC, and another round after filling their stomach with fries and nuggets.
Don’t be mistaken. The girls in the photo below are not tweens, they are my preschoolers who are turning four soon.
The ascent onto the net has its danger. The three or four years old should not be up there playground unless they are used to climbing up unstable playground features.
And indeed, older kids came along later in the afternoon. They looked like regulars there and were experts in hopping all over the net like ninjas. It wasn’t safe for my young ones anymore and they had to climb down the structure.
There is an assortment of climbing features installed all over to add more fun to the kids’ climbing.
Further away from the climbing net, kids get to hone their balance skills on more ropes. The girls actually broke into a sweat after a few rounds of balancing works.

The playground gets rather crowded and rowdy after 5pm. You can try to visit on a cloudy day before 5 to avoid the crowds.
Facilities here are great! You get a MacDonald and washrooms right beside the play area!
