Time to bring my dino-lovers to the 1-km long Jurassic Mile! It is located beside the multi-storey carpark at Terminal 4 and the easiest way to get there is to drive and park at Carpark 4A.
But fret not, even if you don’t drive, Jurassic Mile remains accessible via public transport. We took a public bus there, stopped at T2 to transfer to T4. Take Bus No. 24, 27, 36, 53, 110 or 858.
From the bus terminal, walk straight towards T4 and turn right. Unlike the bus terminals in T1, T2 and T3, the bus terminal in T4 is located on the ground level.
Keep walking straight towards Carpark 4A. Follow the cycling track and you won’t go wrong.
If you wish, you can also rent a bike to cycle through Jurassic Mile to East Coast Park.
Bringing Little Kids There
Our twins are 3 months away from turning 4. They managed to walk to and fro the entire journey.
I had initially planned on renting the kids bikes for them but we could not find any kiosk along the way. Hence, we had to walk. But yes, they were tired out by the time we completed our 2-km journey.
As the entire path along the Jurassic Mile is shared amongst cyclists, skaters, and pedestrians, we had to mind the little ones along the way.
While some cyclists zoomed past us, some were considerate and stopped their bikes when the path got too crowded for comfort.
It’s Dino Time in the Jurassic Mile!
There are 10 types of dinosaurs scattered along the path and largely grouped into Herbivores, Flying, Predators and Defensive types.
Sharing some of the photos I have taken.
You get to see the pterodactyl at the starting and ending points.
It is just unfortunate that CAG and Tanah Merah Country Club did not foresee golf balls landing on visitors’ heads. Additional overhead safety nettings were installed after a second golf ball almost hit someone again.
So now my photos of the Apatosaurus looks like this.
Other Practical Info
The Jurassic Mile is only 2 km to and fro and can be completed in an hour’s time, at toddler’s speed.
Thus you can begin your walk at 5pm if you prefer a cooler walk.
The nearest restroom is located in T4, next to Carpark 4A. Enter T4 via Door No.1. You can top up your water bottle there too.
