primary 4 flashcards

My kiddos were falling behind their Chinese syllabus. It dawned upon me that they had too much to catch up on when they were preparing for their mid-year examinations in frustration. We probably played too much during the Circuit Breaker.

But really, there is so much to learn and so little time spare. When the kids were in the P1 and P2, they had 字宝宝 flashcards as their textbook learning companions.

As and when they were too tired to do any revision, or we did not have any time to go through the textbooks together, I would bring out the flashcards to run through the vocabulary quickly. It was efficient and effective.

When they move up to P3, there is no more 字宝宝. My elder boy survived his P3 Chinese syllabus, but as he moved up to P4, there was so much more to absorb.

So I decided to create my version of 字宝宝 so that they could save time flipping through the textbooks for new or unfamiliar words to learn.

The words from my documents are pulled out from their P4 textbooks 欢乐伙伴。

Since I have created the flashcards, I decided to share it here. The layout of the flashcards herein is bigger and more squarish, as I find my first version a little too small for our hands and eyes.

I will appreciate if you can like my Facebook Page to render me some support in return for giving out this free resource.

How to use the flashcards:

Print the Primary 4 Chinese Flashcards in colours. I have segregated the words into red and black. It is necessary to learn to spell the words in red, whereas for the black ones, the kids only need to recognize them.

Just like the P1 and P2 versions of the 字宝宝, the characters are not accompanied with hanyu pinyin so that they can practice recalling the words without any guide. You can choose to write the hanyu pinyin behind the printouts if you wish.

If you have a P3 kid, find the P3 printable Chinese Flashcards here.

I always laminate my printables that I know I will repeatedly be using them.

Check out the laminator* and laminating sheets* which I am using. No complaints!
