For most mothers, getting the family to eat healthily is one of their many priorities.
If every mother can afford the time and effort, she will probably prepare homecooked food every day and provide her children with the healthiest choice of food available.
I recently discovered that 2 of my kids love munching on dried goji and dried longan, and even red dates. I thank A Healthier You for gifting us with so many healthy goodies filled with goodness and allowing me to expand the variety of snacks I can offer my kids.
According to A Healthier You, dried longan is a low- calories fruit that is high in antioxidants and induces better sleep. I typically use it in my soups to increase our energy, reduce stress, fatigue and boost the immune system.
Goji Berries is a well-known superfood that has a good source of vitamin C and A, minerals such as zinc and iron, It improves immunity, promotes healthy skin and protects against cancer. It is also supposed to improve mood and sleep. I love to sprinkle a handful into my soups just before serving.
Both of these products from A Healthier You are sulfate-free, giving me peace of mind when my kids munch on them. I just had to rinse them with boiling water before serving the goodies to the kids.
I better get another box of premium goji berries from here to satisfy my girl’s demand.

Cheng Theng
Cheng Teng is an extremely healthy form of dessert, minus the sugar. Thus my mum’s homemade Cheng Theng is always the best.
She typically includes dried longan, red dates, goji berries, lotus seeds, bai guo (gingko) and peach gums into the dessert. These are all ingredients that are full of goodness. As for sugar, she replaces white sugar with other healthier sweet options.
We always throw in lots of peach gum into our Cheng Theng because my girls love its jelly-like texture so much. Peach gum is the resin from peach trees and is rich in collagen and amino acids. It is comparable to the bird’s nest but at a fraction of the price. The premium peach gum supplied by A Healthier You so much easier to clean as compared to those bought from the wet market, and the texture is softer too.
Before using, we soaked the resins in a big bowl of water the night below. On the next day, see how much resins swelled.
Check out how generous my mum is with the ingredients. We forbid her from setting up a dessert stall as she will make a massive loss for sure.
