I never thought we would be zooming through the Chiang Mai jungle trees but yes, we did! The adventure park was highly recommended by my hubby’s colleague who found his experience there one of the highlights of his trip to Mae Rim.
Since parking at the entrance was full, we left our car in another nearby carpark down the slope. We were surprised by the steps we needed to get through to make our way to the entrance.
Look at the steps and the rickety wooden bridge. It was an exciting ascent for the young and old, free of charge even before we entered the adventure park.
Jungle Coaster
We went straight for the Pong Yang Jungle Coaster. Each ride cost THB300 per pax.
Surprisingly, our 33-month tots were allowed to take the coaster ride. They were gamed enough to try out because they have not experienced roller coaster rides before. The park guide reassured us that it was safe enough as there are brakes installed on the coasters, meaning that we can control the speed of the coaster.
The silly me did not pull the brakes during our first descent, and I scared my eldest girl out of her wits. The dip was so thrilling and we rocketed through a couple of sharp turns. Once we asserted our control over the brakes, we relaxed, enjoyed the jungle view and the cooling breeze. Since the tots totally loved their experience, we went for a second round.
If you are an adrenaline junkie sitting on the roller coaster behind us, you gonna be disappointed with your ride coz we will slow you down. The staffs operating the station seemed to be in a rush and would hurry everyone to proceed with his ride once a safety gap was established.
We looked around the park but decided to skip everything else which was either uninteresting or not suitable for our family.
The park’s highlights include zip lines, quick jump, giant swing, and jungle bike on a line. Tweens and adolescents will love these.
Caution
No sudden braking on the jungle coaster nor stops for selfies. These acts endanger yourselves and the people behind you.
