Thanks to my resourceful cousin again, I received a pretty good product that I am happy to share here. It is the Supor Vacumn Cleaner VCS25C. We bought it to get rid of dust mites.
Dustmite and Asthma
My son and I are asthmatic. Asthma is prevalent in kids and is usually caused by the inflammation the of airways in the lungs. An allergy test at KKH reveals that my boy is allergic to dust mite droppings, a common allergen identified to trigger asthma.
Supor Vacumn Cleaner VCS25C
After trying out the Supor Vacumn Cleaner (click here for the link), I feel better, knowing that my son’s nemesis is now under control. Going forward, we will regularly deep clean our mattress with this vacuum cleaner to ensure that dust mite stays away from us.
The handheld vacuum cleaner weighs 2kg and has a watt motor of 220V. According to its Gmicro Testing Cert, the vacuum cleaner kills 99.9% of germs and 100% of dust mites hiding in mattresses. While I cannot verify the claims’ accuracy, I see lots of dirt in the dust box after cleaning my 5-year-old mattress.
The machine can detect dust mites and will emit UV rays at 55ºC to kill off the bugs. In addition, the 8000 times per minute vibrations will help to dislodge the dead mites from the mattress fibre easily.
This bagless vacuum cleaner uses the rapid rotation of airflow in a circular dust box to separate dust particles from the primary airflow. To improve filtration further, an ultra-fine filter is fitted above the dust box to ensure that dust and bacteria remain trapped. However, I think Supor need to provide the machine with a HEPA filter system instead to up their game.
The machine is easy to use, and its noise level is bearable. Once we turn on the device and press all the function buttons below, we will activate the vibration pad, UV rays and warm air. Red lights on top of the vacuum cleaner indicate the presence of dust mites. Blue lights mean dust mites are gone.
Clearing the debris is easy. We remove the circular container from the machine, open the cap to throw the dirt into the rubbish bin, lift the filter from the lid, and wash the said small parts with water. Just in case, remember to remove your bedsheets from the mattress before you start your cleaning.
Comparison
I have not used any other mattress vacuum cleaner before. So I did a little desk research and made a simple comparison based on specifications.
Raycorp is one of the more popular dust mite vacuum cleaners on Amazon, and many of its users commented that it is effective in improving their respiratory health. Similarly, for Supor, many users commented that the recurrence of their asthma and running nose seems to have reduced. In Q10 Singapore, Dibea UV – 858 is one of the top-selling machines. YEJENUV Anti-Dust Mites Bed Vacuum Cleaner is also Amazon’s recommendation.
SUPOR VCS25C | YEJENUV Anti-Dust Mites Bed Vacuum Cleaner* | Raycop RS2 UV Sanitizing HEPA Allergen Vacuum* | Dibea 858 UV Vacuum Cleaner* | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Weight | 2kg | 1.5kg | 2.7kg | 1.4kg |
Vibrations per min | 8,000 | 3,800 | 4,600 | 6,200 |
Heat | 55ºC | nil | nil | nil |
Effectiveness | 100% | 99.7% | 99.9% | 99.9% |
Price | Approx $160 including shipping and GST | $55.99 excludes shipping | $299.95 excludes shipping | $119 |
Suction Modes | one mode | one mode | 3 modes for different fabrics | one |
UV Rays | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Filter | Ultra Fine Filter | HEPA Filter | HEPA Filter | Ultra Fine Filter |
On the negatives, buyers commented that Dibea heats up quickly and cannot be used for more than 30 minutes, while Raycorp RS2 is expensive. A couple of YEJEN users complained of its lack of suction power, and Supor is a little heavy, which I don’t mind.
Based on the above comparison, I think my purchase is value-for-money since the machine comes with an additional heat function and the most formidable vibration pad. A HEPA filter pad will be well-appreciated, though.

Hi there.. thanks for this informative post! My initial option was to purchase Housmile from Amazon but was told the socket is not suitable for Singapore. Is the socket for Supor compatible or you need an external socket? Thanks!
Oh yes. We used an adaptor for this. 🙂
