Far East Organisation Children’s Garden – What a Sensory Treat!

The Far East Organisation Children’s Garden in the Gardens by the Bay has always been one of our top playgrounds.

What We Love About The Far East Organisation Children’s Garden

Lush greenery surrounding the playground in the Adventure and Rainforest Treehouse

The refreshing smell of the plants soaked in morning dews awakes my senses. And everyone knows soaking ourselves in the greenery does wonder for our eyes.

The Adventure Trail in the Gardens by the Bay playground suits children from ages 6 to 12.

The lush canopy all over the Adventure Trail and Rainforest Treehouse also means we can enjoy the playground any time of the day! But still, with the blazing heat in Singapore, it is best to venture into the park in the late afternoon or early morning.

This is the 2nd and 3rd level of the taller tree house.

Climbing up these rope structures took me quite a bit of effort. I was panting by the time I completed two rounds. However, it is noteworthy that the ropes seem well maintained even though the playground was opened in 2014. They remained safe and sturdy, with no frays found along the way.

The ropes are arranged pretty tightly together. As a slim adult, I find it hard to navigate through these tight ropes, which is fantastic in terms of safety for the kids.

We were rewarded with a magnificent view of the lush treetops when we got up to the third level.

And the only way down from the top is via this long barrel slide.

I managed to squeeze myself into one of the basket pods. But getting out was a slight challenge.

Bring along your bucket and spades. There is a washing point right beside the sand pit.

Water Play

Every kid loves water play!

There are sensors installed in the Water Play which detect the children’s movements and create corresponding water effects.

Washing facilities in the playground are right beside the water play section, with the baby changing room and hot water dispenser.

No one has forgotten the little tots!

PETIT COCO @ CHILDREN’S GARDEN CAFE

We tried out the food there while waiting for the rain to stop one day. Unfortunately, I did not take photos of the nuggets and sandwiches we ordered. It was pretty decent though I find the menu slightly pricey. Sign, with four kids to feed, probably everything is expensive to me.
